Import Export licence registration
All importers and exporters in South Africa are required to register with customs at the South African Revenue Service (SARS). Once registered, you will get an exporters Licence. This is a code that you receive when you register at customs as an importer, exporter, or both. It allows an individual or business to clear goods through customs and to make international payments for imported and exported goods.
We will:
- Guide you in gathering the documents needed for this registration
- Go to the customs office on your behalf to process the application
- Provide feedback on the process, including any other adjustments to documents that may be required
- If needed, return to the customs office to complete the process
